All our surgeries are by appointment. These can be made by telephone or by calling at the reception desk.
You may choose which doctor you would like to see, but we encourage you to see your usual doctor whenever possible and especially at different times in the same illness. We aim to offer an appointment with your own doctor within three working days.
Routine appointments are booked at 10-minute intervals. Some shorter appointments are kept at the end of the morning and evening surgeries that can be booked the same day. These are for patients with urgent problems.
If your problem is urgent, you will always be offered an appointment the same day, though your own doctor may not be available at short notice.
TELEPHONE APPOINTMENTS
We offer telephone appointments with our GP’s and nurses.
There are many occasions when a telephone conversation with a GP would get the same result as having to make an appointment to come in and see them.
If you think a telephone appointment would suit you please ask the receptionist to make one.
Here are some of the problems that a telephone appointment would suit:
Discussion of X-ray results and path results.
Medication queries
Side effects to medication
Vaginal thrush
Hay fever
Emergency contraception
Urinary tract infection in women age 20 – 65 years
Low back pain in 20 – 50 year olds.
Chickenpox
Need increased pain relief for condition already seen.

Please let us know if you are unable to keep an appointment so that it may be offered to someone else.
