The new shingles vaccination programme has been launched by the Department of Health to help protect those most at risk of shingles.
Currently stocks are low nationally so, at present, it is only being offered to those people who are 70, 78 OR 79 on 1 September 2014
This makes you eligible if your birth date is between:
02/09/43 and 01/09/44
02/09/35 and 01/09/36
02/09/34 and 01/09/35
The Surgery will contact you to arrange your appointment.
Dr Ian Killeen will be retiring in April 2015 after 30 years as a partner at the Practice. He was originally appointed as the Practice increased in size due to the development of the Dovehouse Housing Estate in Wellesbourne. This has certain parallels with the current programme of house building in the area when the Practice, again, will need to expand to cope with the increased numbers.
Dr Tim Preece and Dr Paul De Cates will be joining as partners from April 2015 and will be taking over the care of Dr Killeen’s patients.
Dr Killeen will be greatly missed by colleagues, staff and patients, and we wish him all the very best in his retirement.
